My research is concentrated on Pietro Santi Bartoli's drawings documenting ancient mosaics and wall paintings discovered in Rome in the second half of the Seventeenth Century. The main purposes consist of tackling questions about ancient Rome’s topography, as well as understanding Bartoli's role in the history of Antiquarianism.
